Easy Hummus

16 Feb

Hummus, I absolutely love it. Now, I think it’s kind of like a marmite situation but personally, I could eat it all day. It is great as a snack or for a light lunch and it’s also super healthy for you so it’s a win win. This is a really easy recipe to because it basically consists of just putting all the ingredients in the food processor and sitting back and waiting for the magic to happen. You can use this as a dip or spread it on sandwiches which is also fabulous.

Easy Hummus

1 x 400g tin chickpeas, drained

2tbsp tahini paste

juice of 1 lemon

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/2tsp ground cumin

a pinch of cayenne pepper

salt and pepper, to taste

1/3 cup olive oil

  • Put all the ingredients except the olive oil in a food processor and whizz to a smooth paste.
  • Scrape down the sides and then pour the olive oil in slowly while the processor is on low, until incorporated.
  • Serve with fingers of toast or pitta bread and crudites.
